I have joined a beginner quilting group. We each come up with a quilt pattern that is fairly easy then mail off fabric to the others in the circle. We have 2-3 months to sew 4-5 blocks for that person then we send them back and it's the next person's turn. I am not going first, but I am still looking at different quilt patterns and block ideas to try and figure out what quilt I should choose...and I need to find out if Biggest still wants to claim the first (okay second, I made Littlest a sort of a quilt while pregnant with her)quilt as hers, then I need to get her thoughts on the matter.
so far I have a few vague ideas, my favorite being this bird quilt. I am not sure how well it would translate from baby quilt to twin.
This one is cool, but I feel like A) the curves would be too difficult, and B) this wouldn't be as interesting to see what people do with it. We will be sending the fabric but they will put it together how they choose, this only has two options.So this is more of a make it by yourself quilt.
