Quite a few posts back, the one where we lost our summer road trip I wrote about how Jewel said something to the effect that I would probably take away her Disney trip as well. Then I swore (not to her)that we would go on that trip if we had to go broke to do it. Well I don't know how we could possibly make it happen. Things are once again tight and bills are overdue.
So I don't see how we can do the Disney trip, BUT we received a Christmas card from an old friend who we don't see anymore. The printed card was about how when he thinks of family he thinks of us, and in it he told us he was sad we weren't able to go to Colonial Williamsburg, and he hoped that in 2011 we would be able to, that the offer to stay with his family was still open, etc. Inside were gift certificate's for Colonial Williamsburg and gas cards. Enough to pay for the whole trip, especially if we stay with his family. We were floored and incredibly grateful, the kids are beyond excited that we get to finally go to Colonial Williamsburg, and Biggest insists we have to go to Jamestown as well. They will finally get to make use of the Colonial dresses I made them, and now I suppose I should make Littlest a dress as well. We are going to do it up and then continue on to Pennsylvania because I won 4 tickets to Sesame Place for $5.00 at the kids silent auction. I have wanted to take my kids since before I had kids!
In other news Littlest is talking a lot more, she now says "knah knah" due to the older two's propensity for knock knock jokes, and she really can communicate with others using 2-3 word sentences occasionally, although I suspect those outside of the family might have some trouble understanding her.
OMG so happy for you! The trip will totally rock and I can't wait to see the dress for Junie!
